Annual Mental Health Awareness Walk scheduled at Smith Park on May 17th

Area community members are invited to come together for a cause on Saturday, May 17th from 1-3 p.m. at Smith Park in Montevideo at the annual Mental Health Awareness Walk. The event is free, family friendly and held in recognition of national Mental Health Awareness Month.

Much needed rain on the way

It was a Mother’s Day for the record books on Sunday. We experienced record high temperatures that had been in the record books for 125 years that were shattered! Lots of low to mid 90s were found around the region.

Welding class teaches teachers

The Advanced Welding Class at MHS took over teaching last week to show Superintendent McKittrick and Mrs. Maethner a few welding processes. Mr. McKittrick and Mrs. Maethner then had to preform what they learned. The class partners with J & D Construction and MinnesotaWest.

Annual FFA Banquet held

Last week, Montevideo FFA held the annual banquet to honor the success of the FFA members. From competitions to projects, the hard work from these members was not unnoticed. The group also welcomed its newly inducted officer team for the 25-26 school year.
