The Nest on Ridgeview opens as Montevideo’s first-ever Bed & Breakfast
Jan Sanow says she has always wanted to open a Bed & Breakfast someday, but it just never worked out with children and her husband Duane’s career. When he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, that changed. “He wanted to make sure I was taken care of, so he helped me find a home that would be suitable for a bed and breakfast so I could finally do my dream,” Sanow says. She began working on the home late last fall, re-painting every room, and hiring interior designer Danielle Glorvigen to transform the space into a comfortable, cozy getaway. “She has rental properties that they rent out seasonally. That’s why I hired her. She knew what people want, and she stocked the whole house according to that aspect. I only brought like three pieces of furniture with me,” Sanow says.
