CCM Health welcomes Brittiny Cherveny, APRN, CNP

CCM Health is excited to welcome Brittiny Cherveny, APRN, CNP to their team of providers! Brittiny attended Walden University for her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner and is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, is a member of the Minnesota Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Brittiny has wanted to become a nurse for as long as she can re member. While she was pursuing her bachelor’s degree, she decided to further her education and become a nurse practitioner. She jumped in headfirst and never looked back! Brittiny grew up in a rural community and is thankful she can start her practice in rural Montevideo. “I love people and relationships; I am so excited to be able to provide continued care and management of health care needs to all ages and build long term relationships with patients and colleagues.”

CCM Health welcomes Tasha Eichorn, APRN, CNP

CCM Health is excited to welcome Tasha Eichorn, APRN, CNP to their team of providers! Tasha received her master’s in nursing degree from Walden University and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Nurses Association. Tasha will be providing care in Family Practice and Dermatology services at CCM Health. Tasha has worked in the health care industry since graduating high school. She has always had a goal of one day becoming a provider. “I have a strong passion for working with people and making a difference in the lives of others. Continuing a career in health care allows me to do this as well as being able to learn new things every day.” Tasha is most passionate about improving rural health care and providing more access to patients in rural areas. “I have lived and worked in the community in a variety of health care roles which has allowed me to build relationships and develop trust here. I’m looking forward to working at CCM Health to continue to improve rural health care”.

Safety mindset essential around cold water

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources The weather so far in April has been anything but consistent and the same can be said for the ice-out status of Minnesota’s waterways. However, as people’s focus turns to open water, the Minnesota Department of Resources reminds boaters and paddlers that cold water is dangerous and unexpected falls can turn tragic quickly.

Report fish die-offs to help DNR, others respond as needed

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources encourages Minnesotans contact the state if they see evidence of a fish die-off in a lake or stream. These fish die-offs happen occasionally and can result from a variety of causes.

Community Center provides activities, fellowship

On Wednesday, May 4th, the members of the Montevideo Community Center are hosting an Open House Meet & Greet with the hope of showing off all the Community Center has to offer. The Community Center, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic had around 250 members.

Presentation on WPA program given at Minnesota’s Machinery Museum annual meeting

Minnesota photographer Doug Ohman was at the Minnesota’s Machinery Museum annual meeting in Hanley Falls last week to provide a presentation titled “The New Deal”. The presentation was of interest, as the school building that now houses the museum was originally constructed as a part of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration (WPA) projects.
