The Minnesota Soil Health Coalition (MSHC) is offering farmers a unique opportunity to invest in their operations’ future with their Premier Soil Health School, scheduled for July 29-30, 2025. Hosted at Grant and Dawn Breitkreutz’s farm near Redwood Falls, this educational event represents a significant opportunity for agricultural producers across the state to learn from some of the industry’s most respected soil health experts.

Ridgewater College students from three technical programs recently competed and excelled at the annual Minnesota SkillsUSA competitions in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud. Seven Welding students from both Willmar and Hutchinson campuses qualified for nationals in Atlanta in June: two individual champions and two team champions.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces that District 8 in southwest Minnesota, has been awarded $2,686,000 from the Highway Safety Improvement Program for three safety improvement projects within the district. HSIP is a federal-aid funding program designed to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries on public roads. The object of the program is to identify, implement and evaluate cost effective construction safety projects.
