Coleman to perform in Montevideo

Honoring the music of his legendary grandfather, Floyd Cramer, pianist Jason Coleman takes the stage of Montevideo United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:00PM as the next concert in the Minnesota Valley Community Concert Association’s concert series.Pianist Jason ‘Floyd’ Coleman brings new life to the music made famous by his grandfather, Floyd Cramer, in a piano concert of country and pop classics.

New Highway 67/old County Road 2 project complete

Work to install guardrail, rumble strips and ground-in wet reflective striping on new Highway 67 / old County Road 2 in Yellow Medicine County has been completed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.Rumble strips and striping were installed from Wood Lake to where Highway 67 turns south toward Echo.

Sam’s Pumpkin Patch opens for the season with new theme, games

Located just outside of Montevideo, Sam’s Pumpkin patch, owned and operated by Sam Ripley, has opened for the season with something new to brag about this year.Ripley opened the pumpkin patch for the first time in 2021 when he was a Sophomore in High School on his parents property just a couple of miles off Highway 212.
