Reduced crappie limit proposed for Lac qui Parle Lake in western Minnesota
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house to collect public comments and share information on reducing the crappie limit from 10 to 5 crappies on Lac qui Parle Lake.

Rongstad sentenced to 21 months in prison
Last Thursday, Joseph Rongstad, of Watson, was sentenced after an incident that took place in January of 2024 that resulted in a police standoff at his home.The incident began when Rongstad made online threats against students at the University of Minnesota.
