There is just a little time left to tell us about those in our communities who go above and beyond for others. There’s so much negativity surrounding us these days, so when our CherryRoad leaders called a meeting to discuss the new feature “Angels Among Us” - a magazine that will be published in April, I was excited to get to work on it.

Ah. The joy of sunshine that we have enjoyed the past few days. But wait. We have another nasty storm predicted for next week. Will we ever just get a couple inches of snow without gale force winds and/or dangerously cold temperatures? It must be getting close to state tournament time. That’s my only explanation.

Question: What is the requirement for displaying front and rear license plates in Minnesota? What is the fine for not displaying both? I notice a lot of vehicles without a front plate, especially on Corvettes and Tesla cars. Answer: Corvettes and Tesla’s are required to have a front license plate in Minnesota, this is a common equipment violation.

Live Well, Age Wisely

Countryside Public Health serves the same five counties as Prairie Five (Big Stone, Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift and Yellow Medicine) and we are so lucky to have them in our region. I’ve gone to them for different vaccines and boosters, sampled produce from a community garden they supported, and enjoyed the sights on one of the walks they developed.

From the Editor’s Desk

For the last year, I’ve been working on a creative project with photography, building intricate sets in studio and pulling in volunteer models to be costumed and photographed. The end result of this will be an exhibit in a gallery showcasing the work. It’s fairly similar to the final project I worked on at the end of my university coursework for photography, but in this instance I have full creative freedom, whereas that project was specifically designed to hit all topics learned in lighting, posing and technique, thus every photo had to be entirely different.

Some warm up by the weekend

We have seen some fog recently once again across Minnesota with the melting of the snow and fairly light winds. This has made for some travel difficulties at times, particularily late at night and early in the morning.
