Montevideo boys basketball team competes at state tournament

Last week, the Montevideo Boys Varsity Basketball team secured a spot in the State Tournament after a 62-61 victory at the R/A Facility at Southwest Minnesota State University in a game against the Jackson County Central Huskies.

UNITED wrestlers compete at State

Team United had three wrestlers qualify for the state individual tournament this year after placing in the top two for their section. Ben Gunlogson was the section 3AA champ for the 139# weight class. Eli Olson and Kam Sather were both section 3AA runner-up for their weight classes, 107# and 152# respectively. All three wrestlers are juniors and will be back with Team United for one more season next year.

Montevideo boys defeat New London-Spicer

Last week, the Montevideo Boys Varsity Basketball team took on New London Spicer in the Section 3AA-North Playoff for a 70-29 victory. Leaders in the game included Griffin Epema who scored 26 points while Brody Dack added another 19 points to the team total. Complete scoring follows:

Montevideo boys defeat NLS, Pelican Rapids

Last week, the Montevideo Boys Varsity Basketball team took on New London-Spicer in a non-conference game for a 78-51 win. Leaders in the game included Gannon Reidinger who scored 19 points with six rebounds while Griffin Epema added another 15 points with four rebounds to the team total. Complete scoring follows:

Montevideo girls defeat LQPV

Last week, the Montevideo Girls Varsity Basketball team took on Lac qui Parle Valley for a 55-40 victory. Leaders in the game included Teagan Epema who scored 34 points, six rebounds while Hallie Helgeson added another 11 points to the team total. Complete scoring follows:
