Thunder Hawks golf teams play in BOLD invitational

The Thunder Hawk boys and girls golf teams traveled to the Olivia Golf Club for a West Central Conference meet last week. The boys finished in sixth place with a score of 209, while the girls finished in sixth place with a score of 254.

Thunder Hawk girls take on Sauk Centre in double-header

The Thunder Hawk girls took a 4-14 loss in the first game of a double-header away game against Sauk Centre last Thursday. Leaders in the game include Mathea Jorgenson who scored a home run and three RBI. Complete scoring follows:

Moms fish free May 7-8

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources During Take a Mom Fishing Weekend Saturday, May 7, to Sunday, May 8, moms who live in Minnesota can fish without purchasing a license. The Minnesota State Legislature established this special weekend in 1988 to coincide with Mother’s Day.

Boys basketball alumni tournament held Easter weekend

On Saturday morning, Montevideo High School boys basketball alumni gathered at the school’s gymnasium for a tournament that boy’s basketball coach Derek Webb hopes to make an annual event. This was the second time the event was held, as it was originally held in 2019, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, was postponed in subsequent years until now.

Montevideo girls basketball banquet held

The Thunder Hawks Girls Basketball Team had its post-season celebration and banquet on 4/4 at the High School Cafeteria.
