Last Saturday, the Chippewa County Historical Society hosted a holiday event that provided local kids the opportunity to decorate cookies with Santa Claus. The children were given cookies and containers of frosting and sprinkles to decorate with while they enjoyed hot chocolate. After the cookie decorating, Santa Claus read a bedtime story to the children, and held a meet and greet to give kids the opportunity to express their hopes for Christmas gifts. The event was held in the kitchen hall of the historic Chippewa City Pioneer Village. Volunteers dressed in festive holiday clothing helped with the distribution of supplies and hot chocolate for the visitors. Photos by Jessica Stölen-Jacobson
