Midge Christianson, 6W Community Corrections Director, was presented the MACCAC Board of Directors Award at the 2022 MACCAC Annual Conference held at Breezy Point in September, for her outstanding contributions to MACCAC and support of community corrections in Minnesota. MACCAC is a voluntary association of Minnesota counties who operate programming within their local communities under the provisions of the Minnesota Community Corrections Act of 1973. Currently there are 35 counties in the state of Minnesota belonging to MACCAC. 6W Corrections serves the counties of Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift and Yellow Medicine. Their mission statement is, “Serving member counties by enhancing public safety and improving offender outcomes through the use of evidence base practices.” Midge has served as Director of 6W Community Corrections since 2000.
