Dale Oakland of Granite Falls died Saturday, February 4, 2023, at United Hospital in St. Paul at the age of 68.
 Private services were held.
 Dale Allen Oakland was born August 19, 1954, in Montevideo, the son of Richard and Margaret (Smith) Oakland. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1973 and then attended Willmar Vo-Tech. He worked various odd jobs in Willmar and the Metro area before moving to Granite Falls in August of 2020. Dale was married to Patricia Huntley and later to Kathy Hegna. He enjoyed collecting stuff and had a soft spot for animals.
 He is survived by his father, Richard Oakland of Montevideo; a sister, Cynthia Johnson of Westbrook; a brother, Steven (MaryAnn) Oakland of Clarkfield; and nieces and nephews.
 Preceding him in death were his mother, Margaret Davis and a niece, Melissa Larson.
