At Monday evening’s Montevideo City Council meeting, Utilities Superintendent Byron Hayunga was presented an award in recognition of his 45 years of service to the City. Hayunga was hired on October 10th, 1977. After receiving his award, Hayunga said, “I’d like to thank the City of Montevideo who I’ve served under eight other city managers, and several council members.
