Louise “Beth” Zinda

Louise “Beth” Zinda, 74, of Appleton, formerly of the Big Bend area, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, in Appleton Area Health-Care Center. Visitation was noon – 1 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Pastor Kristine Isder officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Louise Elizabeth Zinda was born February 1, 1947, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of James Charles and LaVerne Opal (Dowel) Beard. Over the years, Beth lived in the states of Oklahoma, Washington, Texas, Colorado, and Minnesota. On May 11, 1981, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Zinda. In her working years, Beth was a nurse and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Beth loved going to the lake with her special friend of many years, Palmer Gilsrud. Beth passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, in Appleton Area Health-Care Center. She attained 74 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age. Beth is survived by her sons: Danny (Lena) Cochran and Edgar Cochran; her grandchildren: Brandie Cochran and Stormi Cochran; her great-grandchildren: Peyton Cohran, Cameron Cochran, and Noah Cochran; her brother, Danny Baxter; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and LaVerne Beard; her husband, Bill Zinda; twin grandchildren, Thomas and Rachel Cochran on March 1, 1990; her siblings: Arlene (Keneth) Yates, James (Rosemary) Beard, Philip (Jenny) Beard, Kathy Rogers; and her special friend, Palmer Gilsrud who passed away January 2, 2022.
