Mae Huebner of Montevideo died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Scandi Haven Village in Benson at the age of 96.
 Memorial services were held Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 3 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Pastor Sam Kautz officiated and burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
 Mae Colleen Pearson was born May 11, 1926, at her grandparents’ home in Montevideo to Myrtle Pearson. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Mae attended Hillcrest school and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1944. After high school she attended and graduated from Minnesota School of Business. Mae was united in marriage to Howard Huebner on October 26, 1947, together they had a daughter, Ann.
 Mae worked for Larson Insurance Co. in Minneapolis, Montevideo News, Minnesota Department of Health and Countryside Public Health, where she retired from in 1989. She enjoyed volunteering at United Methodist Church and in the community. Mae had a love of playing cards, completing crossword puzzles, baking, and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Larry) Nilson; granddaughters, Heather (Jeff) Piotter of Appleton, and Holly Miles of Manly, Iowa; five great-grandchildren: Danielle and Laney Miles, and Valerie, Vanessa and Jared Piotter; two nephews, David and Gregg Wilking; and three cousins: Gary (Pat) Gilsrud, Ronald (Rita) Minsaas, and Gordon (Kathy) Gilsrud.
 Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; and siblings, Joanne and James.
