Patricia Blom

Patricia Blom of Montevideo died Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Clara City Care Center at the age of 92.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 2 p.m. and Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with Pastor Marie Eckberg officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Watson.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Patricia Alice (Moen) Blom was born November 17, 1929, in Montevideo, the daughter of Ragnar and Alice (Griffin) Moen. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Watson and confirmed in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1947 and Johnson’s Cosmetology School in 1948. Pat was united in marriage with Harris A. Blom on March 7, 1948. They made their home in rural Montevideo and were blessed with three children: Jon, Sandra, and Charles. They moved into Watson in the early 1960’s. Pat worked in the office at the Montevideo Schools and also in the License Bureau at the Chippewa County Courthouse. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, Hardanger, and being involved with Immanuel and Watson churches. Pat was also a hospice volunteer and also enjoyed meeting with retirees from the courthouse. She and Harry enjoyed their grandchildren and all of their sporting and musical events. Pat loved music, enjoyed singing, and listening to classical music. They moved into Montevideo in 1994 and Harris died in 1996.
She is survived by her children: Jon (Gayle) Blom of Lakeville and Chuck (Debra) Blom of Montevideo; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Carol) Moen of New Brighten; a sister, Andrea Hallnagel; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Harris; a daughter, Sandy Van Osterloo; a son-in-law, Malen Solseth; a brother-in-law, Wilbur Hollnagel; and her longtime friend, James Billings.
