This can now be done by calling **TIPS (**8477). Through technology and a partnership with Crime Stoppers USA anyone can anonymously report information about a crime using this new nationwide crime-fighting tool. Prior to this, calling a distant Crime Stoppers Toll-Free number often had geographic boundaries for access determined between the Toll-Free provider and the local Crime Stoppers program. **TIPS now gives tipsters calling from one Toll Free defined area the ability to reach a Crime Stoppers program in a different calling area while remaining anonymous.
