Thunder Hawk boys open basketball season at home
Montevideo boy’s basketball coach Derek Webb says his players were disappointed but not deflated following a 76-66 season-opening home loss against nonconference Redwood Valley last Thursday night. “Simply said, at the end of the night Redwood Valley hit their shots and we didn’t capitalize on our chances,” said Webb, whose scrappy Thunder Hawks looked for their first win of the season at Minnewaska on Tuesday night (results not available as this edition went to press).
Most snowmobile trails need more snow and cold temperatures
By statute, the opening date for Minnesota’s snowmobile trails is Dec. 1 but most of the state’s trails need more snow before they can be groomed for use, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
