As the snow falls outside, I start to think about traditions. When my sister and I were younger, we would break out Christmas cookies saved in the freezer from the year before on the first snow of the year.

Thank you, Mother Nature for relenting and allowing some warmer air to move into out area. I was tired of listening to the drip of my faucets. It is supposed to prevent freezing of pipes. Don’t know if that really works, but I was willing to try. I had 3 faucets dripping for several days. It’s a good thing that I don’t pay for water. I have turned all of them off for the week.

Just for Kix winter show fills the MMS gymnasium

A large crowd gathered to watch all of the performers in the 2022 Just for Kix Winter Show held at Montevideo Middle School Sunday afternoon. The “Just Kickin’ with my Gnomies” holiday-themed show featured performances by all of the dance groups in the Just for Kix program, from the Wee Hip Hop performers to the High Schol competitive team.
