CCM Health announces Community Investment Program

CCM Health announced that the application period for large grants for its Community Investment Program will be open from January 16 – March 1, 2023. The successful program is in its third year of benefiting many of the communities that CCM Health serves.

Ask a Trooper

Question: Can someone please tell dealers or inform people that their auto lights do not work during daylight hours? Or put it on those digital signs along the interstates? I did not know this when I bought my 05 vibe and someone told me that. So when we had these storms and fog, there are people driving without lights at all or no tail lights and when it is a white or silver vehicle makes it worse.

Cold weekend temps on the way

I don’t know if I remember a winter that has had as much hoarfrost. We had another beautiful sight on Sunday across much of western and northern Minnesota of hoarfrost. The conditions were just right once again for the formation of this phenomenon. By the way, you don’t have to look far for hoarfrost to form as it is the same type that forms in your refrigerator or freezer.

Montevideo City Council member charged in court

Jessica Stölen-Jacobson Editor jstolen-jacobson@cherryroad. com Montevideo City Council member Steven Sulflow appeared in Chippewa County Court December 28th, and was sentenced to supervised probation, as well as ordered to pay a $500 fine for an incident that was reported to the Montevideo Police Department in September.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Saturday, January 28th: Montevideo High School Band Carnival. Meal (take-out and in person meal options this year), live cakewalk with music played by the MHS Band Students, and a Take the Cake “Walk”, pay one donation and avoid the cakewalk. Cake donations are needed and can be dropped off at the MHS gym doors from noon to 3 p.m. on January 28th. Events all week include a scavenger hunt and “Name that Tune” contest on KDMA.

Maynard group offers Chippewa County board a building for one dollar
