Local Girl Scouts prepare for upcoming annual cookie sales
On Sunday afternoon, the Montevideo Girl Scouts gathered for a Cookie Rally at the Montevideo Community Center to prepare for their upcoming cookie sales. The push to sell the popular Girl Scout Cookies begins with pre-sales on February 1st, with cookies being on-hand by February 10th. The sales are on until March 22nd.

Thunder Hawk girls defeat West Central
Last week, the Thunder Hawks Girls Varsity Basketball team hosted the West Central Knights for a 70-62 victory. Leaders in the game included Avery Koenen, scoring 33 points while Hailey Dirksen added another 19 to the team total. Scoring from that game follows: Montevideo (13-2) 36 34 — 70 West Central (7-9) 24 38 — 62 Individual Scoring: Teagan Epema 5, Taylor Viessman 4, Tenley Epema 9, Avery Koenen 33, Hailey Dirksen 19 3-pointers: Teagan Epema 1, Tenley Epema 1, Koenen 4, Dirksen 3 The girls team traveled to Glenwood on Tuesday evening of this week.
