Cooler temperatures than average
After a winter storm brought snow to the region last Thursday into Friday, we had a very nice weekend. There was lots of melting going on both Saturday and Sunday as high temperatures were in the 30s and even into the lower 40s on Sunday. With light winds and plenty of sunshine, it was a very nice weekend for early April! I saw people out going for a walk and many snowmobilers enjoying the nice weather.

Ask a Trooper
Question: Do I need an oversize or wideload permit to haul a boat lift that is over 9 feet wide to my cabin? Answer: You would need to obtain a permit because the width is over 8 feet 6 inches. Hauling oversized items without a permit or escorts (if required) can be dangerous and is illegal.

BUILDING COMMUNITY
Editor’s Note: What started as a project titled “Angels Among Us” has evolved into something so much more than we originally anticipated. We put out the call asking for nominations of people in our communities who go above and beyond for others, with overwhelming response. What resulted is a new concept - a new weekly series called “Building Community” with a focus on how our community members from all walks of life are building the kind of community they want to live in, whether its through small things, or very large life changing things. It’s about inspiring ideas in others we may not have considered, and hearing words of encouragement from those who have overcome their own challenges to become more involved in our communities. To tell us about someone you know that’s helping to build community, send an email to jstolen-jacobson@cherryroad.com.
