Local man identified as stabbing victim
On September 18th, news of a body being discovered in downtown Montevideo shook the community, as local police departments blocked off the parking lot near the Post Office while investigating the scene.

USDA announces milk loss assistance for dairy operations
The U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced Milk Loss Program (MLP) assistance for eligible dairy operations for milk that was dumped or removed, without compensation, from the commercial milk market due to qualifying weather events and the consequences of those weather events that inhibited delivery or storage of milk (e.g., power outages, impassable roads, infrastructure losses, etc.) during calendar years 2020, 2021 and 2022.
With hunting seasons underway, Minnesota DNR K9s focus on protecting people and natural resources
As the days turn cooler and hunting seasons kick off, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ K9 Unit’s five teams are preparing to shift their focus to the field.The three dogs trained to sniff zebra mussels will continue working to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species as long as there’s open water.
