Montevideo swim team competes
Last week, the Montevideo Girls Swimming & Diving team hosted the West Central Conference meet at home, with Elizabeth O’Malley taking third place in the diving competition with a score of 340.65.

Montevideo football ends season
In the first round of the Section 6AAA football tournament last Tuesday evening, the Montevideo Thunder Hawks cruised to victory with a final score of 40-16 against Melrose.

Montevideo high school student works to open dog park
Montevideo High School Junior Jaxon Wagner has been working on earning his Eagle Scout status, and thus has planned a large scale project in order to do so.
Montevideo Cross Country finishes 8th
Last week, the Montevideo Cross Country team took part in the Section 3A Championship in Redwood Falls, with the boys team finishing in 8th place with a score of 226.

The Hollywood on Main in downtown Montevideo has been working on organizing an upcoming fundraising event for Diversity-USA, an organization run by The Hollywood’s proprietor Ruth Ann Lee alongside Debra Lee Fader.

Annually, florists around the country participate in the national Caring Rose Week campaign.
Annual Mayors Gala returns November 18th
The annual Mayor’s Gala returns to Montevideo Saturday, November 18th with the gala committee members having come up with the theme, the Roaring 20s.
Lindeman competes at state
Last week, Montevideo tennis team’s Brooke Lindeman traveled to the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis to compete in the State Tournament.
Montevideo volleyball falls to NLS
Last week, the Montevideo girls varsity volleyball team traveled to New London to take on the Wildcats in the Section 3AA-North tournament.
