Some people in Minnesota have put away their boats for the year, but plenty of others will squeeze out every bit they can of the open-water season, whether they’re chasing game, targeting fish or paddling lakes and rivers.To anyone on or around the water this fall, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources offers this reminder: Your safety is your responsibility.

Shoemaker appointed by Governor Walz

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan last week announced appointments to the Board of the Foster Youth Ombudsperson, Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board, Center for Rural Policy and Development, Governor’s Advisory Council on Climate Change, Governor’s Council on Connected and Automated Vehicles, Minnesota Assistive Technology Advisory Council, Minnesota Climate Innovation Finance Authority, and Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.

Heritage Haven committee members interviewed for podcast
