The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is asking for input on several special fishing regulation proposals.Each year, the Minnesota DNR reviews existing fishing regulations and proposes new special regulations that apply to individual waters and asks the public for input about the proposals.

2024 Take Root in Soil Health field event
The Renville County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), Kandiyohi County SWCD, Chippewa County SWCD, and the Hawk Creek Watershed Project (HCWP) are hosting a Take Root in Soil Health event on August 28th from 6pm – 8pm at the Renville SWCD Farm Plots located roughly a quarter mile east of the intersection of County Road 10 and County Road 11 in Renville County on the South side of road.The field event will feature a tour of the Renville SWCD farm plots, in which the SWCD is testing different soil health practices, such as tillage strategies to show how conservation practices can be utilized within the county.
