Montevideo Middle School raises money for Food Shelf

Montevideo Middle School students and staff competed in the annual “Penny Wars” last week. They collected money and filled containers of the participating staff. Pennies were king - they count as positive money. Anything else (dimes, quarters, nickels, bills) counts as negative money. The teacher with the most positive money had to wear a turkey costume for the day on November 27th. Middle School Principal Mr. Huntley lost and had to wear the costume. Between students and staff MMS raised $216.27 for the Chippewa County Food Shelf.
