Deputy Commissioner visits Montevideo Schools
Last week, Minnesota Department of Education Deputy Commissioner Stephanie Graff visited Montevideo Public Schools to learn about all of the things happening at Montevideo Public Schools. This picture is from a session with students in the Medical Academy. Students were able to share their perspectives on education with the deputy commissioner.

Local student on dean’s list
North Dakota State College of Science is proud to announce that 555 students have been named to the Fall 2024 President’s Honor Roll. This recognition is awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance, achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while completing at least 12 credits with letter grades.

Montevideo Noon Lions Club members awarded at annual banquet
The Montevideo Noon Lions Club hosted its annual banquet and District Governor visit recently. A number of club members were awarded at the banquet. Those awards follow:

Vehicle Breaks Through Ice on Del Clark Lake near Canby, Minnesota
On February 2, 2025, at approximately 8:50 AM, a vehicle broke through the ice on Del Clark Lake near Canby, Minnesota. Fortunately, the driver was able to exit the truck safely and return to his group without sustaining any injuries.
