Montevideo TRAP team compete
Recently, 25 of the Thunder Hawks Trap Team athletes competed in the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League State Trap Shooting Tournament. The weather was a little different than last year. In 2024 the temperature was around 96 degrees. In 2025 they started the day at 53 degrees and overcast with little to no wind.

Thunderstorm chances for the weekend
We went from a drought situation earlier this spring to now the rain and storms not being able to turn off this month! Severe weather ripped through eastern North Dakota Friday night into Saturday morning. A tornado killed three people in Enderlin in Cass County which is about an hour southwest of Fargo.
Chippewa County Students Among Minnesota Connections Academy’s Class of 2025
In June, 795 graduating seniors from communities across Minnesota were awarded their high school diplomas as members of Minnesota Connections Academy’s Class of 2025. The tuition-free, public online school recently recognized graduates during a traditional, in-person commencement ceremony at the Minneapolis Convention Center on June 7.
Corps of Engineers makes adjustments to Lac qui Parle Dam
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is adjusting its flood gates at the Lac qui Parle Lake Dam, near Watson, Minnesota, due to ongoing rain within the basin.
