Over the last week, our teams have been working on the new layout for the newspapers that will roll out soon. Recently, CherryRoad Media hosted a couple of community meetings to show samples of the new layout. If you were unable to attend one of those meetings, I’ll explain a little more about what you can expect to see here.
Montevideo Softball plays two double-headers

Last week, the Montevideo Girls Varsity Softball team hosted West Central Area in a double-header for a 16-17 and 6-7 loss. Leaders in the game included Kylieann Johnson who was 2-for-3 with nine stolen bases, and an RBI. Complete scoring follows:

Temps in the high 70s for the weekend

The Storm Prediction Center put on their assessment last week about the potential for a severe storm outbreak ranging from the Central Plains to here in the Upper Midwest. This storm did materialize and brought severe weather here in Minnesota.
Montevideo baseball defeats Minnewaska in double-header
Last week, the Montevideo Boys Varsity Baseball team played a double-header against Minnewaska, taking an 11-1 victory in game one and a 9-7 victory in game two. Leaders in the game included Gannon Reidinger who pitched a complete game in game one striking out eight, and was 2-for-3 hitting. Complete scoring follows:
Dr. Kathleen Jordan Project has busy 2025
Thee Dr. Kathleen Jordan Project is very active in 2025. The successful 2024 tribute event, attended by almost 1000 people, launched many new activities.
