Pederson to launch book and art exhibit at Java River

Montevideo artist Doug Pederson describes his new book as something that came about “pretty much by accident”. What began as a way to pass the time has grown into a published collection of artwork and reflections that he will share at a launch event and art exhibit at Java River on Saturday, September 6th at 10 a.m.

Minnesota waterfowl seasons are around the corner, and hunters have a wide variety of opportunities to look forward to in 2025, with seasons starting Saturday, Sept. 6. Early teal season runs Saturday, Sept. 6 through Wednesday, Sept. 10, with shooting hours from sunrise to sunset.

When Alan’s mom progressed on her Alzheimer’s journey, we witnessed changes in her behavior. After working with families as a Memory Care Coordinator, I realized that these behavioral changes can be very common due to the progressive deterioration of the brain cells caused by the disease. Even though common, these behaviors were often the most challenging aspects of the disease process.

The Montevideo Cross Country teams opened their season last week at the Brave Like Gabe invitational at Arvig Park in Perham with the boys finishing in 8th place with a score of 162 while the girls team finished in sixth place with a score of 165. Individual top scorers follows:
