Montevideo boys defeat New London-Spicer
Last week, the Montevideo Boys Varsity Basketball team took on New London Spicer in the Section 3AA-North Playoff for a 70-29 victory. Leaders in the game included Griffin Epema who scored 26 points while Brody Dack added another 19 points to the team total. Complete scoring follows:

I recently went on a date with my six-year-old daughter. It was an elegant affair. She wore a gown. I donned a suit. My daughter kept referring to the event as “the ball,” though technically it’s a Father Daughter Dance. Elaborate chandelier, ornate sconces and superfluous fleur-de-lis decorated the country club ballroom. A DJ spun an array of danceable, kid-friendly tunes. Yes, it was mostly Taylor Swift.

Turkey hunting licenses are on sale
Turkey hunters can purchase their licenses for the spring 2025 season starting Saturday, March 1. Licenses may be purchased online (mndnr.gov/buyalicense), by telephone at 888-665-4236 or in person wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold. Hunters can hunt statewide and buy licenses for any time period (A-F) over the counter.
