Duo set on breaking speed record for river travel makes way through local area
Early last Friday morning, two canoers, Scott Duffus and Scott Miller, traveled through the local area in their attempt to set a fastest known paddle time on the Minnesota River - a journey of 317 miles.The journey began at the Minnesota River Headwaters in Ortonville and concluded at the boat ramp at Fort Snelling State Park on Sunday with a time of 63 hours and five minutes.
