Dr. Phil Maus of Dawson passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 94.

David Eugene Torgerson, 94, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Ortonville. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 a.m.

On March 26, 2023, Jo Ellen (“Jo”) Tweeter, loving wife of Roger Tweeter and devoted mother of Thomas and Timothy Tweeter, passed away at the age of 73. Memorial services were held Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Audrey Mullen of Montevideo died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 92. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 2 p.m.
MNHS to host upcoming outreach event at Prairie’s Edge
On Tuesday, April 4th, staff from the Native American Initiatives and Heritage Preservation departments of the Minnesota Historical Society will be at Prairie’s Edge Casino Resort to host a new outreach event.
Land Stewardship Project hosts Regional Food Forum
Last Thursday, the Land Stewardship Project (LSP), a private, non-profit organization founded in 1982, hosted a Regional Food Forum in Montevideo for local food advocates, producers, and professionals to gather for an informational and collaborative day of building community food networks.
