This has been a very active month for snowfall so far in Minnesota. Of course, we told you at the start of the month that the 30 Day Outlook was calling for below normal temperatures but above normal precipitation for the month of March.

Countryside Public Health overviews 2022 services and statistics

com Countryside Public Health Director Liz Auch was in attendance at Tuesday mornings meeting of the Yellow Medicine County Board of Commissioners to give a year-inreview report for 2022. Auch explained that the mission of Countryside Public Health is facilitating a safe and healthy future for the residents.

Change the Outcome substance use disorder event planned for the public

Editor jstolen-jacobson@cherryroad. com The local task force of volunteers from organizations such as Prairie Five, the Montevideo Police Department, the City of Montevideo, 6W Community Corrections, and a local judge that was formed in order to access the services of a collaborative effort nationwide to address opioid addictions in rural communities has recently complet- ed the first traveling event of their months-long participation in the program.

DNR holding career fairs to recruit conversation officers

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is holding two open-house-style career fairs for anyone interested in learning about becoming a conservation officer. The career fairs are part of the agency’s current CO Prep program application period, which runs through March 31 and is for people without previous law enforcement experience.

Thunder Hawks boys basketball team ends season

The Thunder Hawks boys varsity basketball team ended their season over the weekend at the SMSU R/A Facility in Marshall, as they took a loss to Redwood Valley by just three points in the final moments of the game.
