Council hears report from Milwaukee Road Heritage Center
Despite last Tuesday’s snowy weather, the members of the Montevideo City Council that could make it to the meeting held the regular meeting, while having to adjust the agenda to suit not having enough members to vote on resolutions.

Temps should be near average for the weekend
We had another interesting winter storm hit Minnesota late Sunday into Monday. This disturbance brought snow and freezing rain to parts of the state. Once again, it did create some travel difficulties to portions of the region.

Question: Is it illegal for a vehicle pulling a trailer to have a ladder or ramp hanging from the side of the trailer? Answer: You are able to have ladders or ramps secured to the side of an enclosed trailer as long as you do not exceed the width of 8 feet 6 inches. This is the maximum dimension that may be operated on Minnesota roadways without a special permit.

Police Department requests BCA review investigation
Jessica Stölen-Jacobson Editor jstolen-jacobson@cherryroad. com Recent news reports published in an area daily newspaper have led to some speculation in the community regarding an investigation conducted by the Montevideo Police Department into what was deemed to be a suicide in Chinhinta Park in September 2020.

Thunder Hawk boys take on Sauk Centre
Last week, the Thunder Hawks boys varsity basketball team took on the Mainstreeters in Sauk Centre for a 48-58 loss. Leaders in the game included Gannon Reidinger who scored 18 points, nine rebound, two blocks, while Carson Boike added another 11 points to the team total.
