Elda Jessie Wittman, 75, of Boy River passed away peacefully February 18, 2023, at her home with her family at her side. Elda was born in 1947 to William and Dorothy (Delaney) Leach, she grew up and graduated from high school in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. She met Lynn when their mutual friends asked them to join them on a date! On June 24, 1967, Elda and Lynn were married.

Police Department requests BCA review of investigation
Recent news reports published in an area daily newspaper have led to some speculation in the community regarding an investigation conducted by the Montevideo Police Department into what was deemed to be a suicide in Chinhinta Park in September 2020.

Ah. The joy of sunshine that we have enjoyed the past few days. But wait. We have another nasty storm predicted for next week. Will we ever just get a couple inches of snow without gale force winds and/or dangerously cold temperatures? It must be getting close to state tournament time. That’s my only explanation.
