Kay Haff Teichroew went to a better place on the evening of February 9, 2023, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Kay was born in Montevideo on November 7, 1949, to Stanley and Violet “Augeson” Haff. She grew up on a farm near Watson with three brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Milan High School, Milan, in 1967. She had a close-knit class and stayed in touch with her classmates. She never missed a class reunion. She nannied for a family in the Twin Cities in the summers of her junior and senior year. She worked for State Farm, REC, Fingerhut, Egg Plant and became a CNA at the Westbrook nursing home. She also babysat for multiple families in the area. She became ill with an autoimmune disease in 1979. She was unable to work outside the home. She crocheted many blankets, scarves, Christmas stockings, tablecloths, doilies and table runners.

Leonard Enevoldsen of Montevideo passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his home in Montevideo at the age of 79. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.

Don C. Bacigalupo, 80, of Montevideo died peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

James Backer of Montevideo died Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 82. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 1 p.m.
