Christmas in the Village – Feliz Navidad December 3rd

You are invited to join us for “Christmas in the Village – Feliz Navidad” which will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Historic Chippewa City, a pioneer village, which is located at the junctions of Highways 7 & 59 in Montevideo. This year celebrates the Christmas traditions of Mexico, Central and South America.

Light snow in the forecast for Thanksgiving Day

If you thought parts of Minnesota picked up some nice snow last week, you were right. Much of central and west central Minnesota into parts of north central Minnesota received three to seven inches of snow. The snow was very light and fluf fy.

School board discusses results of facilities survey At last week’s regular monthly meeting of the Montevideo School Board, Daniel Ohmacht was sworn in as a board member, taking the seat left open by the departure of Tyler Sachariason. The board also heard the results of the recent election.

Carole Halverson, 86, of Marshall died under the care of hospice on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. Funeral Services were 11 a.m.

Carole Pitt died Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Ark On The River in Anoka at the age of 82. Funeral Services were held Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 1 p.m.
