Council hears requests from Montevideo community member
The regular monthly meeting of the Montevideo City Council Monday evening opened with a time set aside early in the meeting for citizens in the audience to address the council on items not on the agenda.

HomeStore Design Center purchases Clare Paint and Wallpaper
In January of 2021, Nolan and Jenna Jasperson purchased The HomeStore Design Center; a business that had been open in Montevideo for approximately 12 years. Since then, they have done some remodeling, updates to technology, and brought in some additional flooring lines.

Former Montevideo resident campaigns to bring life-size sculpture of Chief Red Iron to Montevideo
Matt Lanz grew up in Montevideo, and now lives in South Dakota, where he works as a full-time artist, creating sculptures in bronze, cotton throws painted to reflect the original hide paintings he has created over the years, and more - as a homage to traditional Indigenous culture and arts.
