Golf team travels to Section 3AA Tournament

The Thunder Hawks golf team traveled to the Section 3AA Tournament on Thursday at the Oakdale Golf Club, with the boys team finishing in 16th place with a score of 401. Scoring from that event follows: Individual Top 5 Scorers: 53rd Place - Camden Helgeson 91 62nd Place Gavin Arends 93 79th Place RJ Haas 104 89th Place Luke Sachariason 113 .

Thunder Hawks play WCA

Last week, the Thunder Hawks took on West Central Area in a close-fought game, taking the loss with a final score of 4-5. Leaders in that game included Gannon Reidinger, who finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs, pitching the first three innings and striking out three.

Thunder Hawks defeat BOLD, Minnewaska

Last Tuesday, the Thunder Hawks baseball team played a home game against BOLD for a 17-7 victory. Leaders in that game included Luke Kuno who was 4-for-5 with a home run and six RBI. Complete scoring follows:

29th Annual Chippewa and Yellow Medicine Counties Relay for Life held

Friday evening, the 29th annual Chippewa and Yellow Medicine Counties American Cancer Society Relay for Life event was held at Smith Park in Montevideo. The event began with a performance by the community band, while guests were able to visit vendor booths, enjoy a meal and sign up for the split-thepot. Luminaries were set about the path through the park, and one section was designated as a “survivors garden”, featuring photographs and paper flowers with the survivors names.

A Memorial Service for Naomi will be held on Thursday May 26, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd.
