
EDA receives study on historic Chippewa Bank building
The Montevideo Economic Development Authority received a report at their meeting last week outlining what the needs and costs are projected to be to repair the historic Chippewa County Bank building. The building condition assessment was completed by the architecture firm Engan Associates after the City solicited the study with funds from a USDA grant.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Louise “Beth” Zinda, 74, of Appleton, formerly of the Big Bend area, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, in Appleton Area Health-Care Center. Visitation was noon - 1 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Big Bend Lutheran Church. Pastor Kristine Isder officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Dale E. Teigen
Dale E. Teigen, 85, of Coon Rapids passed away peacefully at home March 19, 2022. A long-time heavy equipment operator (construction), Dale was a proud Norwegian, Army veteran, fisherman, and avid Minnesota Twins, Timberwolves, and Vikings fan. He enjoyed American history (especially WWII), basketball, camping, bowling, gambling, traveling, and trips to The Lake. Dale was preceded in death by parents Oscar and Bernetta. He is survived by beloved wife of 62 years, Marlene; daughters Andy (Andrew) Beede and Kathy (Gary) Mansergh; son Rob (Alma) Teigen; grandchildren Carolynne, Paul, and Laura Beede, April and Natalie Teigen, and Jackie Mansergh; sister Bonnie (Tom) Dougherty; cousins, nephew, and nieces.
