Slowing down in a hurry-up world
The apostles returned to Jesus from their ministry tour and told him all they had done and taught. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. Caregiver respite and support Opportunities
Caregiving can feel simultaneously rewarding and exhausting. As conditions progress, caregivers may begin to feel more and more isolated and even burned out. Pandemic restrictions have only exacerbated this. I was recently reminded of the wonderful resources and opportunities that Lutheran Social Services offers to caregivers in our area and wanted to make sure that you were aware of them, too. You don’t need to go through a difficult time on your own.
