Montevideo girls defeat LQPV

Last week, the Montevideo Girls Varsity Basketball team took on Lac qui Parle Valley for a 55-40 victory. Leaders in the game included Teagan Epema who scored 34 points, six rebounds while Hallie Helgeson added another 11 points to the team total. Complete scoring follows:

Warmer temps over the weekend

This has been the coldest air so far this winter season that we have been “enjoying!” We had Cold Weather Advisories last week and then we started off this week with an Extreme Cold Warning! At times we have seen wind chills down to 45 below zero across the area--now that is one cold Artic airmass!

I’ve just finished a ten-day solo tour down South as the World’s Oldest Stand-Up and it was a major adventure for an old guy with memory issues who keeps forgetting the word “cognitive” and other words of a similar sort, walking onstage every night to do ninety minutes or more freestyle in front of a big crowd, most of whom probably voted the wrong way last November, and make them laugh a lot.
